With the installation of Fuji's Computed Radiography for Mammography (FCRm) system, developed by FUJIFILM Medical Systems USA, Inc., Wayne General Hospital is proud to offer this digital mammography capability. An American Cancer Society study showed that mammography screening reduced breast cancer deaths by 63%. Now digital mammography increases our ability to detect even small cancers earlier–especially in women under 50; women who are pre-menopausal or in its beginning stages; and women with dense breasts. Digital technology lets you and your doctor see the image quickly. With a mouse click, your radiologist can enlarge and enhance specific areas, for prompt diagnosis and effective treatment.
