New Type I F350 AEV Ambulance
Wayne General Hospital receives a Type I F-350 AEV Ambulance. The ambulance has negative pressure with a HEPA filtration system, that insures air inside is pure and filtered. This system helps to keep other contaminants from entering the vehicle. This ambulance like the other ambulances at Wayne General Hospital is also equipped with a hydraulic auto loader. The hydraulic auto loader allows for a stretcher to be pulled into the vehicle, relieving physical strain on emergency personnel. UV lighting throughout the ambulance was installed for infection control. We now bring the Emergency Room to the patient while having on board front line medicines and equipment. Our ambulances can also transmit vital information on the patient such as an EKG while in route. This process allows personnel at the hospital to set up quicker and more efficiently for the arriving patient..
